Production Points of Zipper Bags with Different Fabrics and Materials

Different materials, structures, and zipper types have different control points and attention points in the process of production and prenatal design.

BOPP or matte film zipper bag

 

Printing process: it is necessary to use temperature-resistant ink instead of ordinary light package ink. The layout design should be designed to seal more than 2mm transparent edge as far as possible. If the whole page design pattern is designed, it should be designed as a white design as far as possible (i.e. there is a white ink layer under the color ink).

 

If the zipper is made of light solvent, it is not easy to use the ordinary solvent. Otherwise, it is not easy to use the ordinary solvent.

 

Bottom layer material: choose a slightly low-temperature material. Similarly, the zipper material should also use low-temperature materials as much as possible, to better match the fabric material BOPP or matte opp. The fabric itself is not too temperature resistant.

 

Pet or NY steel zipper bag

 

Because the material of the fabric belongs to steel material and belongs temperature resistant material, the temperature resistance of the edge sealing is very excellent, but this is only the temperature resistance of the surface layer. For composite membranes, it is also necessary to choose temperature-resistant ink and glue. Of course, due to the temperature resistance of the surface layer, the selection of the heat sealing temperature range of the zipper will have a wider range.

This structure is the most special kind of zipper bag, which also has certain production difficulties. Whether it matches the fabric BOPP or matte OPP, or NY or pet structure, this zipper bag with aluminized pet structure is very headache.

 

First of all, the composite effect of the aluminum plating layer and the surface layer is a great test of the production process. Once the composite strength is too high, the aluminized layer will transfer; If the composite strength is not enough, the heat sealing performance will be weakened, and the heat sealing zipper head is easy to wrinkle at high temperatures. But this does not belong to the high-temperature separation layer. If the composite glue is too strong to produce an aluminized transfer, it will be attributed to high-temperature separation.

 

Therefore, for zipper bags with aluminized pet structure, we need to find a balance between aluminized composite strength and temperature resistance of heat seal at zipper position. It is required that aluminum plating will not produce a transfer, and at the same time, when heat sealing the zipper, especially the position of the zipper head, it will not produce high-temperature wrinkle or high-temperature delamination.

 

The fabric is a zipper bag made of degradable materials such as PBAT

 

The bottom material of this kind of zipper bag should also match the materials of PLA and other categories. The zipper also needs to be in the PLA category. At present, this kind of packaging has relatively little circulation in the domestic market.

 

The key control points of this bag type are mainly bag making and heat sealing.

 

With PLA zippers, if the heat sealing fastness is relatively solid, such zippers are easy to be affected by high temperatures and will be easy to embrittle in a relatively short time. Therefore, during heat sealing, it is necessary to find a suitable production process temperature, otherwise, it will be very prone to high-temperature embrittlement.

 

On the other hand, the PLA zipper is easy making its bite force very small or very large. It is so large that the zipper can be broken to open the bag, so it has become a defective phenomenon.

 

For zipper bags with degradable materials, the requirements for printing and compounding are similar to those of BOPP. They all require that the temperature resistance can meet the requirements of bag making and heat sealing. It is understood that at present, there are relatively few zipper bags made of degradable materials in China, and there are still many process difficulties and process stability to be developed and overcome.

 

The fabric is a PE zipper bag

 

The requirements for ink and glue of this type are roughly the same as those for zipper bags with pet and other fabrics.

 

PE fabric composite zipper bag has relative particularity in bag making process. In the beginning, when everyone tried the PE material structure, in the bag making process, even if it was a three-sided bag sealing, there were great difficulties, because the tensile and fusibility of PE itself led to the difficulty of controlling the bag making process of this kind of material.

 

Through the modification of the surface layer PE, the difficulties such as its temperature resistance, stiffness, and high-temperature shrinkage are improved, and the surface layer PE is given a temperature resistance level similar to that of BOPP at high temperatures. That is, the fabric PE melts at a high temperature as much as possible, while the PE melting temperature of the bottom thermal cover is minimized as much as possible. At the same time, the zipper also uses a low-temperature type, so the three are a better match. Once the three do not match well, it is easy to have the phenomenon of a weak heat seal or PE surface being crushed in the bag-making process, and even the inner PE will be pressed through, which may lead to tensile deformation of the edge of the bag making process.
